Situating in the opposite ends of Eurasia, China and Ireland suffered from similar struggle for hard-won national independence. Chinese and Irish people always have deep feeling towards each other.

The diplomatic relations between China and Ireland was established in 1979. In recent years, the Strategic Partnership for Mutually Beneficial Cooperation between our two countries has experienced great development, and exchanges and cooperation in all fields are expanding and deepening. With the deepening of China's reform and opening-up and the implementation the Belt and Road initiative, our bilateral relations will witness further growth and our two peoples will benefit more.
