On November 19, H.E. Mr. Zhao Xiyuan, Chinese Ambassador to Ireland, presents the working copy of the Letter of Credence to Dr. Eamonn McKee, Chief of Protocol at the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Zhao thanked the Irish government for its thoughtful arrangements for his arrival. Ambassador Zhao stressed that China-Ireland relations have maintained a good momentum in recent years, and China is willing to work with Ireland to uphold the spirit of mutual respect and seeking common ground while reserving differences to achieve more results in bilateral relations and practical cooperation in various fields.
On behalf of the Irish government, Dr. McKee welcomed Ambassador Zhao to his new post and said that Ireland attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is willing to provide assistance and convenience for Ambassador Zhao and the Chinese embassy to carry out their work.
