2025-01-14 01:55

Questions: According to media reports, China United Front Work Department has cultivated connections across Ireland and opened "stations" to recruit people doing sensitive research. What is the Embassy's comment?

Answers: The relevant report is groundless. We firmly oppose this malicious smear.

The CPC-led United Front endeavors to bring together various political parties, people from all walks of life, ethnic groups and organizations, to promote cooperation between the CPC and people who are not members of it. When it comes to exchanges with foreign countries including Ireland, we attach importance to the role of overseas Chinese as bridges and links in promoting people-to-people exchanges, friendly relations and enhancing mutual understanding.

China's United Front Work never interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, and never export ideology or social systems. China's United Front Work Department neither has nor will establish any so-called 'station' in Ireland, nor will it guide or support any institution or organization. The activities of the United Front Work Department are all carried out openly. China is fair and square, above-board and beyond reproach.

We hope that the relevant media will adhere to facts and evidence, and report on China in an objective and fair manner.
