Ambassador Zhao Xiyuan Attends Asia Matters Briefing on China-Ireland Partnership

On March 28, Ambassador Zhao Xiyuan attended the Asia Matters Briefing, "A Future Vision for China-Ireland Partnership," where he delivered a keynote address. The event brought together approximately 60 attendees, including Irish government officials, business leaders, and academic representatives.

In his address, Ambassador Zhao reflected on the longstanding friendship between the Chinese and Irish peoples, emphasizing the deepening cooperation between the two countries based on mutual respect, equality, and shared benefits. He highlighted the significant achievements in economic and trade exchanges, cultural collaboration, and other key areas.

Ambassador Zhao also shared insights from the recently concluded Two Sessions, underscoring the strengths of China’s political system and governance. He reaffirmed China’s commitment to expanding high-level openness and working with all partners to achieve mutual benefit, win-win cooperation, and shared development. Furthermore, China remains dedicated to strengthening China-Ireland and China-EU relations, particularly in trade, green development, and multilateral cooperation, to collectively address global challenges.

Attendees impressed by China’s modernization achievements and engaged in meaningful discussions on further strengthening China-Ireland relations and fostering collaboration across various sectors.
