On March 29, Ambassador He Xiangdong invited a team of Blackrock Educate Together Secondary School students, who will participate in the Wicklow Model United Nations 2022 Programme, to the Embassy.

Ambassador He welcomed the students, and expected them to have a good understanding of China and promote friendship between the two peoples. The Ambassador answered their questions on COVID-19 pandemic, green economy, cyber security, space security, Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc, and wished them good luck in the upcoming Wicklow Model United Nations 2022 programme.

Young Chinese diplomat gave the students a brief introduction to Chinese history, culture, economic and social development, as well as China-Ireland relations.

The students said that they were inspired and encouraged by the visit to the Chinese Embassy, and would share more information on China with their families and friends, so as to let more Irish people know about China.
