Ambassador He Xiangdong Met with Minister Eamon Ryan

On March 2, Ambassador He Xiangdong met with Mr. Eamon Ryan, the leader of the Green Party and Minister for the  Environment, Climate and Communications and Minister for Transport.

Ambassador He said that the current China-Ireland relationship maintains a positive momentum, with frequent high-level exchanges and expansion of cooperation in various fields. China is willing to work with Ireland to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation in areas such as climate change, environmental protection and clean energy, so as to inject new impetus into bilateral relations.

Minister Ryan said that he was deeply impressed by China's development and changes during his visits to China in 1987 and 2010. China is a major energy producer and consumer, as well as a major source of clean energy technology and equipments. Ireland looks forward to strengthening communication and exchanges with China to jointly promote international actions for energy conservation, emission reduction and climate change.
