On January 25, Ambassador He Xiangdong attended a briefing session hosted by the Industry and Commerce Association of Ireland. More than twenty representatives from Irish business community were present.
Ambassador He gave an introduction to the fruitful results of Premier Li Qiang’s visit to Ireland. He highlighted that China's unswerving promotion of high-level opening up will bring more opportunities to countries around the world, including Ireland. China is willing to work with all walks of life in Ireland to further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Ireland, so as to bring more tangible benefits to the two countries and peoples.
Ambassador He answered questions and had lively exchanges with participants on topics including China's unilateral visa-free policy for Ireland, the direct flight between China and Ireland, the resumption of Irish beef exports to China, the promotion strategy for Ireland's products as well as China-Ireland higher education cooperation, cultural exchanges and tourism cooperation.
