Ambassador He said that more and more high-quality Irish beef, pork and dairy products are entering the Chinese market. Both China and Ireland benefit a lot from an open and fair international trade system. China is ready to work with Ireland to maintain the good momentum of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, especially in agri-food sector.
Minister McConalogue said that China is Ireland's fifth largest export market and an important market for Irish agri-food products, and the prospects for cooperation between the two countries are broad. The Irish side looks forward to further enhancing the mutually beneficial cooperation between Ireland and China in areas such as food safety, agricultural technology and agri-food trade.
