On 15-18 June 2019, a delegation of China Society for Human Rights Studies led by H.E. Mr. Xiangbapingcuo, President of the CSHRS visited Ireland.

During the visit, Mr. Xiangbapingcuo and his delegation met with H.E. Mr. Seán Ó Fearghaíl, Ceann Comhairle, H.E. Mr. Denis O’Donovan, Cathaoirleach, and discussed about human rights issues with members of Oireachtas Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade & Defence, directors of Human Rights Unit and Asia Pacific Unit of Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and professors from University College Dublin and experts and scholars from Institute of International and European Affairs. Both sides exchanged views on issues of common interests related to human rights in a friendly atmosphere.

H.E. Mr. He Xiangdong, Chinese Ambassador to Ireland attended some of the meetings and discussions.
