Yang Jiechi Meets with Members of the Advisory Council of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF)

On December 22, 2019, Yang Jiechi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, held a group meeting with members of the Advisory Council of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) attending the second meeting of the BRF Advisory Council in Beijing.

Yang Jiechi expressed, the consensus has been reached on the high-quality construction of the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping at the second BRF. We need to implement the relevant consensus, build an open world economy, uphold multilateralism, strive for win-win cooperation, and work together to build a community with a shared future for mankind. It is hoped that the Advisory Council will continue to contribute ideas and suggestions to the development of the BRF and bring more benefits to the people of the world.

The members highly praised President Xi Jinping's concept on the high-quality construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, and expressed, the Belt and Road Initiative is of global significance and conforms to the trend of promoting multilateralism. The Advisory Council will continue to contribute to the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
