Several government
organizations held a symposium in Beijing on Friday to voice
their indignation at the crimes committed by Falun Gong.
Participants are from the Overseas Chinese
Affairs Committee of the top Chinese legislature, NPC, the
Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Committee of the Chinese
consultative body CPPCC, the office of Overseas Chinese
Affairs of the State Council and other Central Committee of
China Zhi Gong Party and the All China Federation of
Returned Overseas Chinese.
They believe that
the Falun Gong cult, in the name of practicing religion and
protecting human rights, turns a blind eye to people's lives
and even tries extreme means to damage social stability.
Some speakers said that Li Hongzhi and his
Falun Gong cult have already become a political instrument
of the anti-China forces overseas. They maintained the cult
has tried to instigate those misled member to disturb social
stability and fight against the government and the people.
They described the fight against Falun Gong as a battle
between truth and evil. Participants at the symposium called
on all overseas Chinese organizations to support the Chinese
government's action of banning Falun Gong, and to continue
the fight to ensure social stability, the smooth progress of
the country's economic construction and the opening up to
the outside world.
