On August 9, Ambassador Zhao Xiyuan and Madame Li Yi were invited to attend the Tullamore Show in County Offaly. During the event, Ambassador Zhao engaged in friendly conversations with Taoiseach Micheál Martin, Minister for Agriculture, food and Marine Martin Heydon, several Members of the European Parliament, and leaders of agricultural associations.

During the discussions, Ambassador Zhao noted that as Chinese modernization steadily progresses and the middle-income group continues to expand, the demand for high-quality agri-food products is rising steadily. He expressed anticipation that agricultural cooperation will bring greater tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries. Irish political and agricultural figures expressed high confidence in the prospects of the Chinese market, are actively increasing their investments, and stand ready to provide Chinese consumers with higher-quality and more diverse choices.
The Tullamore Show, now in its 35th year, is the largest single-day agricultural event in Europe, attracting over 70,000 attendees this year.
