Have you ever been to China? What interesting stories about China do you know? And what memorable experiences have stayed with you throughout your encounters with China?
We are inviting Irish people who have visited China, love China or are simply curious about it to submit short videos under the themes “China Through Irish Eyes”. Pick up your phone, capture China as you see it, and share your story with us.
Selected entries will be featured on Embassy’s TikTok and X. Winners will be selected through a comprehensive evaluation that takes into account the number of views, shares, and comments, as well as the level of audience engagement. The awards will include one First Prize, two Second Prizes, three Third Prizes, and four Awards of Excellence. Each selected winner will receive a special gift (please see the attached prize list for details) and will be invited to attend cultural events organized by the Embassy.
I. Submission Period
From now until 31 December 2026.
II. Entry Requirements
—Content: There are no restrictions on the subject matter. You may use your own perspective to capture the cities, people, culture, food and scenery of China.
—Originality: All entries should be original works. Videos should be clear and should not include AI-generated video content. We kindly ask participants to ensure that their submissions do not involve plagiarism or the unauthorized use or appropriation of others’ works.
—Format: Videos must be in MP4 format and shot in vertical orientation, with a resolution of at least 720p. Each video must be no longer than 1 minute and no larger than 100 MB.If voice-over or subtitles are included, please use English.
III. How to Participate in
—Post your entry on your personal TikTok account or X account, follow and @ Chinese Embassy in Ireland (TikTok: chinaembireland; X: @ChinaEmbIreland).
—At the same time, send the video and its posting link to the designated email address: contest.chinaireland@outlook.com.
—Please use the following format for the email subject: “China Through Irish Eyes – [Author’s Name] – [Title of Video]”
—The email should include a brief description of the entry, including the author’s name, video title, date and location of filming, and a short introduction of no more than 100 words.
IV. Additional Information
Please ensure that your submission does not infringe upon any third party’s legitimate rights or interests, including copyright, portrait rights, reputation rights, or privacy rights.
By submitting an entry, participants are deemed to have agreed that Chinese Embassy in Ireland, or its authorized partners, may use the submitted work for non-commercial and non-profit purposes.
The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Ireland reserves the right of final interpretation of this event.
